My name is Andy Rostron, I’m a freelance engineer. I work on remote sports, news, and entertainment shows and specialize in communications and intercom systems, often on complex productions.
I also provide frequency coordination, RF engineering, and support wireless audio and communications equipment.
I work for clients including FOX Sports, MLB, NFL, and NHL Networks, UFC, CBS, CNN, ESPN, Game Creek Video, NEP, Dome, Firehouse, JetWave Wireless, and WorldStage.
Before turning freelance in 2012, I was a field engineer with CNN in Atlanta for 17 years - traveling to breaking news stories, war zones, natural and humanitarian disasters and Special Events coverage of economic summits, Papal trips, and Presidential pools.
I worked on the 2000 through 2012 political campaigns as an EIC on debates, conventions, elections, and inaugurations.
I was also Project Manager for CNN's bureaus in Chicago, Miami, New Orleans and Havanna, building studio's, control rooms, edit suites and transmission facilities.
